28.11.11 Workshop for Food Design & Innovation students HAS at GBO

Students of Food Design & Innovation of the HAS visited GBO on November 21 under the supervision of teacher and Food Designer Annelies Hermsen. GBO sponsors the HAS with Solid Works CAD programs that are provided for by Cadmes. GBO also assists teachers from the HAS with Packaging Design and engineering. Jeroen op ten berg of GBO illustrated the design process with cases of Heineken, Sara Lee and Fano Fine Food Food.

Subsequently, each of the 15 students presented their draft to GBO. GBO has tested these concepts to the PAF-principle; Producibility, Appeal and Functionality. “It’s good for students to experience how concepts are valued from commercial and manufacturing point of view. This gives our graduates a realistic view on their future. GBO has given practical advice for materials and production techniques that are very useful for students” says Annelies Hermsen. Up.
